Couples Therapy and Individual Counselling in Berlin & Online – German & English.
I work with people who want to better understand their relationship, as a couple or individually. The focus is not on who is right. Instead, it is about what is happening between you, how each person contributes to it, and what can emerge from it.
How it Works
The process begins with an initial consultation (€50). This first session is an opportunity to get to know each other, explore what brings you to therapy, and see whether my approach feels like a good fit for you. without any obligation to continue.
The first step is a brief contact via phone or my inquiry form. After that, we schedule an appointment. If needed, you may receive a short questionnaire prior to the first session.
Sessions last 90 minutes and take place either in Berlin-Pankow or online. The frequency is agreed upon individually. A typical process includes around 3 to 12 sessions, depending on the topic, goals, and relational dynamics.

Couples therapy is for partners who have reached a point where they feel they cannot move forward on their own. Perhaps you keep having the same arguments, find yourselves withdrawing from each other, or feel that daily life has taken over while genuine connection has faded.
In our sessions, we look beyond the surface of the conflict and explore the patterns underneath. Who becomes louder? Who shuts down? Who avoids difficult conversations? I work in a structured and direct way. I do not simply let partners talk past one another. I interrupt when necessary, ask questions, and help make visible what is happening in the interaction itself.
The focus is on helping each person take greater responsibility for their own contribution to the dynamic. From there, a different kind of connection can emerge—one that is more honest, more conscious, and less driven by automatic reactions.
Common reasons couples seek therapy include:
- Recurring conflicts that you have been unable to resolve on your own
- Withdrawal, silence, or emotional distance
- Difficulty expressing needs, feelings, and boundaries clearly
- Conflicts around closeness, independence, daily responsibilities, or future plans

Individual counseling is for you if you would like to explore your relationship on your own—whether your partner is unwilling to participate or you simply need space to understand what is happening before involving them.
Perhaps you find yourself repeatedly adapting, withdrawing, or waiting for your partner to change. Perhaps you are facing an important decision and feel uncertain about the next step.
The goal is not to assign blame, but to look more closely at your own experience: What is happening within you? What do you need? Where are your boundaries? How do you contribute to the patterns that keep repeating?
Individual counseling may be a good fit if you:
- Want to better understand your role in recurring relationship patterns
- Find yourself losing your sense of self or adapting excessively in relationships
- Want to communicate more clearly without compromising who you are
- Are facing a significant relationship decision and need clarity
- Want to work on the relationship, even if your partner is not willing to participate
